Lava is set to launch a new 5G smartphone in India next week. The Noida-based smartphone manufacturer has announced the Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G, which will become the second handset in the company’s Bold N4 series.
The upcoming smartphone will follow the Lava Bold N4 Lite, which was launched in India in August. Along with announcing the launch date, Lava has revealed several details about the Bold N4 Pro 5G, including its battery capacity, camera setup, design and colour options.
Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G India Launch Date
The Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G will launch in India on September 18 at 12pm IST. A dedicated Amazon microsite for the smartphone has already gone live, confirming its availability through Amazon.
The phone will be offered in Gold and Blue colour options.
Lava has also confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will pack a 6,000mAh battery, although details about its charging technology have not yet been announced.
Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G Camera Details
The Bold N4 Pro 5G will feature a dual rear camera setup, with a 50-megapixel primary camera leading the system.
The cameras will be housed inside a square-shaped module positioned in the top-left corner of the rear panel. The camera island appears to feature four circular cutouts, with one of them housing the LED flash.
Lava has not yet revealed the specifications of the secondary rear camera or the front-facing selfie camera.
Design and Display
The Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G will feature a flat rear panel and flat mid-frame, giving the handset a boxier appearance.
The power button and volume controls are positioned on the right side of the smartphone. The phone’s SIM tray is also shown on the right side.
On the front, the handset will feature a waterdrop-style notch, which will house the selfie camera for photographs and video calls.
Lava has not yet disclosed the display size or panel specifications.
Chipset and Charging Details Yet to Be Revealed
While Lava has confirmed the battery capacity and camera configuration, several important specifications remain unknown.
The company has not yet announced the chipset, display size, display resolution, refresh rate or charging speed of the Bold N4 Pro 5G.
Lava is expected to reveal more information as the September 18 launch approaches.
Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G vs Lava Bold N4 Lite
The new Bold N4 Pro 5G will join the Lava Bold N4 Lite, which was launched in India on August 27.
The Bold N4 Lite starts at Rs. 8,099 for the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It is available in Empire Gold and Ghost Silver colour options.
The Bold N4 Lite features a 6.56-inch LCD touchscreen and is powered by the Unisoc 9863A chipset. It also packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging.
The Bold N4 Pro 5G is positioned as the more capable model in the series, with 5G connectivity, a larger 6,000mAh battery and a 50-megapixel primary rear camera.
