An IndiGo flight operating from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar was involved in an incident at Srinagar Airport on Friday morning after the aircraft collided with a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole while parking.
The incident involved IndiGo flight 6E 225 (VT-NOG) and occurred at around 9 am. The aircraft was being parked at Bay No. 6 when its nose reportedly struck the VDGS pole, according to the Airport Authority of India (AAI).
All passengers and crew members on board were safely evacuated. No injuries were reported, and airport operations continued as normal.
However, the aircraft sustained some damage in the incident, news agency PTI reported.
In a statement, the AAI confirmed that all passengers and crew were safe and that there were no injuries. The authority has also sought a detailed investigation report to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
