JCCS Exam Case: The Supreme Court will hear a plea on Monday seeking an independent, time-bound CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services (JCCS) Preliminary Examination 2025.
A bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, along with Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V. Mohan, will hear the petition filed by Harisharan Devgan.
Plea Seeks CBI Investigation
The petition seeks to transfer the ongoing investigation from the Jharkhand CID to the CBI, citing concerns over the fairness, transparency and integrity of the JCCS preliminary exam.
The petitioner has called for a detailed investigation covering the entire examination process, including question paper preparation, conduct of the exam and declaration of results.
Evidence Preservation Also Sought
The plea also asks authorities to preserve all physical and digital evidence linked to the alleged irregularities.
The petitioner has argued that the examination should not be cancelled solely based on allegations and that an independent investigation is needed to establish the facts.
