Indian Railways has announced a special train between Delhi and Kamakhya to handle the expected rush during the upcoming festive season. The Delhi-Kamakhya-Delhi Reserved Festival Special Express, operating as train numbers 04076 and 04075, will serve several important stations across Bihar.
According to the railway schedule, train 04076 will run from Delhi to Kamakhya every Saturday from October 3 to November 29, 2026. The return service, train 04075, will operate from Kamakhya to Delhi every Monday from October 5 to November 30, 2026.
The special train will have 18 coaches and will be hauled by an electric locomotive.
Major Bihar Stations Covered
The Delhi-Kamakhya service will pass through several major stations, including Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Patliputra, Sonpur, Hajipur and Shahpur Patoree.
After Shahpur Patoree, the train will serve Barauni, Begusarai, Khagaria, Mansi, Naugachia, Katihar and Kishanganj before continuing towards the Northeast. It will then pass through New Jalpaiguri, New Cooch Behar, New Alipurduar, Kokrajhar, New Bongaigaon, Barpeta Road and Rangiya, before reaching Kamakhya.
Shahpur Patoree Stop Timings
The Delhi-Kamakhya special train 04076 is scheduled to reach Shahpur Patoree at 11:30 PM and depart at 11:32 PM.
On the return journey, train 04075 will arrive at Shahpur Patoree at around 11:15 PM.
The additional service is expected to provide more travel options for passengers travelling between Delhi, Bihar and Assam during the festive season.
