Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday interacted with participants of the Seva Sankalp Yatra through video conferencing. During the interaction, he spoke about several key issues, including the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, youth participation and the importance of public service.

The Seva Sankalp Yatra began from Vadnagar, PM Modi’s birthplace, and is travelling towards Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency. Highlighting the contribution of young people involved in the initiative, PM Modi praised their efforts and stressed the important role of the youth in building a developed India by 2047.
PM Modi Talks About ‘Shakti of Sapta Dhara’
During the interaction, PM Modi referred to the Shakti of Sapta Dhara and said they would play an important role in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.
He urged the participants to spread awareness among people about the seven streams that he had discussed from the Red Fort this year.
According to PM Modi, areas such as manufacturing, technology and innovation, and connectivity, among the seven streams, can become major sources of energy for building a developed India. He said this momentum would ultimately come from citizens across the country.
PM Modi Praises Youth and Their Journey
PM Modi said today’s youth are not only the builders of Viksit Bharat but will also be among its major beneficiaries.
He stressed that young people need to understand India from the ground level and experience the country’s diversity. Meeting people from different regions and social backgrounds, understanding their aspirations and listening to their concerns are important parts of this process.
He said the Seva Sankalp Yatra can play a significant role in giving young participants this experience.
‘Service Should Be Our Main Objective’
Emphasising the importance of public service, PM Modi said that service should remain the primary objective.
He said the message of service should not be delivered merely through speeches or advice. Instead, people should see the spirit of service through the actions and conduct of those involved.
PM Modi also stressed that even when a person reaches a position of power, the path of service should remain unchanged. He referred to the principle of “Seva Paramo Dharma”, or service as the highest duty.
PM Modi Links Service With Changes in India
PM Modi said that when the spirit of service rises above political considerations, initiatives such as the free foodgrain programme and Ayushman Bharat come into existence.
He also highlighted the government’s claim that around 250 million people have been lifted out of poverty and that four crore poor families have received permanent houses, attributing these developments to the spirit of service.
Focus on Viksit Bharat 2047 and Youth Power
PM Modi reiterated that the young generation will have a central role in India’s goal of becoming a developed country by 2047.
He said understanding the aspirations of people across villages, regions and different sections of society requires young people to travel across the country and engage directly with communities.
According to him, such experiences can help the youth better understand the challenges and aspirations that need to be addressed as India moves towards the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal.
PM Modi Mentions Village in Jhabua
During the interaction, PM Modi also mentioned a village in Jhabua where the name “Modi Phaliya” was reportedly given as part of a community initiative.
He appreciated the spirit of service and public participation behind such efforts and described them as examples of people’s involvement in social initiatives.
PM Modi also highlighted the significance of the route of the Seva Sankalp Yatra. He described Vadnagar, his birthplace associated with the blessings of Hatkeshwar Mahadev, and Kashi, his political workplace associated with the blessings of Baba Vishwanath, as two historically significant places connected by the campaign.
PM Modi Says He Follows the Yatra on Social Media
PM Modi said he regularly watches videos and photographs related to the Seva Sankalp Yatra on social media.
He said seeing young people, particularly young women, participating in what he described as a major and challenging initiative gives him happiness and inspiration.
PM Modi Recalls His Organisational Days
During the interaction, PM Modi also recalled his days working in the organisation and said he had personally organised and led several journeys in the past.
He said he understands the challenges involved in such journeys, including changing weather conditions and evolving requirements.
According to PM Modi, this experience allows him to understand the efforts, challenges and determination of the young participants taking part in the Seva Sankalp Yatra.
