Satyawati College Students Clash Over Union Elections: A clash between two groups of students linked to Satyawati College’s student union elections broke out late Tuesday night, triggering a commotion near Wazirpur village. During the incident, two vehicles were reportedly vandalised.
Sources claimed that gunshots were also heard during the confrontation. However, police have denied that any firing took place.
After receiving information about the incident, a team from Bharat Nagar police station reached the spot. By the time officers arrived, however, the students involved in the clash had reportedly fled the area.
Dispute Reportedly Involved Two Students
According to police, the initial investigation points to a confrontation between Satyawati College students Ansh, 19, and Bhavishya Chaudhary, 19. Two damaged vehicles were found at the scene.
Following the incident, crime and forensic science teams inspected the location and collected evidence. Police also arranged medical examinations and MLCs for both students.
Student Union Election Tension Under Probe
Preliminary findings suggest that the confrontation may be connected to tensions between student groups over the ongoing student union election process.
Police have registered a case based on the complaint received and begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the clash.
Investigators are examining CCTV footage from cameras installed in the surrounding area to identify other students who may have been involved. Witnesses are also being questioned as part of the investigation.
Police said further legal action will be taken based on the evidence and facts that emerge during the probe.
